Emory China Care - Mentorship

Mentorship Program

The mentorship program was started in Spring of 2008 to provide an opportunity for adopted children from China ages 9 and older to interact with Chinese students at Emory University and learn about Chinese culture. The Emory students serve as role models for those in their preteen years. Activities include learning Chinese cooking, Chinese pop music and television, Asian hair and skin care, and what it was like for the Chinese Emory students to grow up in China.

Emory China Care is working with the National China Care Foundation, which strives to promote and facilitate the adoption of Chinese children into loving American families and fund surgeries for disabled orphans in China. Our club received its official charter through Emory University during the Summer of 2005. Since then, we have actively worked with the National Foundation and set up a number of programs to help better the lives of these wonderful children.
